Oxygen Therapies are an incredibly powerful, safe and endlessly useful tools to help support the body’s mechanisms of healing and repair. It is not a drug, but rather, a biological modifier. Ozone therapies involve the utilization of 03 to increase oxygenation of tissue. When 03 comes in contact with tissue, it immediately converts to oxygen (O2) and lipo-peroxides. (note: ozone therapies are not delivered by inhalation)
Oxygen is our body’s most critical nutrient; we can’t live with out it for more than about 4 minutes.
The difference between you at 20 and you at 70 is the efficiency at which you utilize oxygen (via the mitochondria in your cells)
Ozone has been proven to be: anti-infective, anti-inflammatory, hormone modulating, stimulates repair and regeneration, increases energy production.

How Does It Work? What’s the Science?
Ozone therapies have been used for at least 100 years and are very well research. Ozone Therapies are approved and widely used in many European Countries including Germany, Russia, Poland, Spain, Italy and more. China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, USA and many other countries are using ozone therapies. Advanced techniques using ozone therapy are done in hospital settings in these countries - under ultrasound guided imaging, and applied directly into tumors, bone marrow and the peritoneal and pelvic cavity.
All activities performed by your body (your cells, tissues, organs) require oxygen to be performed, eg. your cellular energy is produced in your mitochondria by splitting 02 molecules. (This is known as cellular respiration, involving glycolysis and the Krebs cycle)
Aging and the diseases of aging are caused primarily by decreased efficiency in cellular respiration, and thus energy production.
When we are babies; cellular respiration is most efficient: human energy is highest, and bi-products of the process - heat and water production are also highest. Kids heal fast, they are run around in winter often without enough clothing, often have energy even when sick, and body hydration is highest when we are young. As we age and or have disease; efficiency decreases. The elder are slower to heal, have the least energy and body heat, and, have the lowest tissue hydration.
This decrease leads to excessive free radical production that contributes to aging and can result cellular break down, organ inefficiency and degenerative disease. Less heat is generated, less water is generated. In lower-oxygen states, cellular respiration switches from the Krebs cycle, to the pyruvate pathway, which generates lactic acids, more oxidative stress, and less efficient energy production.
Decreased oxygen utilization is caused by both pre mitochondrial factors and mitochondrial factors.
Decreased oxygen utilization/efficiency exerts it’s effect by causing a decrease in the NAD/NADH ratio.
Cells are deprived of vital functions including repair mechanisms, membrane polarization and enzyme synthesis, including anti-oxidant enzyme synthesis.
Ozone therapy is effective for so many diseases including the infirmities of aging because it normalizes this ratio.
Research has determined that clinical signs of of SIGNIFICANTLY decreased Oxygen utilization are:
Dyspnea on exertion
Exercise intolerance
Sensitivity to cold
Decreased temperature
Chronic disease
Weakness
Fatigue
Generalized pain
What Causes Decreased Oxygen Utilization?
Mitochondrial Factors
Toxicity
Infections
Stress
Nutritional deficiencies
Hormonal deficiencies
Decreased methylation
Decreased fitness
Medications
Pre mitochondrial factors:
Decreased lypolysis (fat burning)
Hypoglycemia
Ischemia (areas of significant oxygen deprivation eg stroke, heart attack)
Hypoxia (low oxygen to tissues - eg cardiovascular disease}
Inflammation
More Nitty Gritty Details
NAD, Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide is a metabolic regulator of transcription, longevity and disease. It is the rate limiting enzyme for cell signaling and the control of many intracellular processes including DNA repair, apoptosis, telomere maintenance.
Chronic localized pain is caused by areas of chronically decreased oxygen utilization.
Vicious cycle starts with trauma or infection.
Edema, inflammation, hyper-coagulation, and endothelial damage lead to a further localized decrease in oxygen utilization.
Decreased oxygen utilization disables the healing mechanisms and the condition becomes chronic resulting in permanent edema, inflammation, hypercoagulation, endothelial damage and pain.
Through the process of oxygen utilization, oxygen is converted to water, plus energy (NAD and ATP)
Oxygen is also converted to free radicals (superoxide anion, nitric oxide) which are essential for cellular function.
Even when oxygen utilization is optimally efficient, some free radical damage to the mitochondria inevitably occurs as a result of this process. So, the longer you are alive, the more damage your mitochondria will have accumulated.
As oxygen utilization inevitably loses it’s efficiency, the rate of free radical damage escalates, and ultimately leads to mitochondrial decay
Accumulating mitochondrial decay is the central lesion in the aging process and in generative disease. It’s why you can’t live forever.
Your risk for premature aging and degenerative disease is determined by your starting point (mitochondrial genetics) and your rate of mitochondrial decay. This can be accelerated by stress, toxicity damaging mitochondria, hormone deficiency, poor nutrition etc.
Your starting point is genetically predetermined. Your rate of decay is modifiable.
Patients who are aging prematurely, chronically sick with anything or have chronic pain have a decreased NAD/NADH ration.
This can be reversed with ozone.
